General Medical Council Number – 3360042
I started in General Practice in 1991, after qualifying in Biochemistry and Chemistry at Manchester University (1st class hons) and then going on to qualify in Medicine at Birmingham University. I undertook my postgraduate training in West Midlands, having worked in Sutton Coldfield, Kidderminster and Queen Elizabeth / Selly Oak Hospitals.
I am enthusiastic and forward-looking regarding all fields of General Practice, but my particular interests lie in prescribing, research and GP training, having been a trainer in this practice since 1998. My interest in research entails work with patients in several areas of study, and I run the diabetic clinic at this surgery.
On the domestic front, I am married with four children, including twins and am keen on outdoor pursuits, particularly cycling, running and skiing.
